Alice in Wonderland

The world of fashion has gone totally mad for the Disney story!
Katzme and understands the craze,
after all just flick through any fashion mag and the influence of Alice is everywhere.
Trailer of the New Movie by Tim Burton

Katzme the characters throughout time and how they have been portrayed

Here’s a fun trivia for you when you go see Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie.
.....Did you know that there actually was a real alice ? ,,,,,
Her name was Alice Pleasance Lidell.
Alice Pleasance Liddell (4 May 1852 – 16 November 1934), known for most of her adult life by her married name, Alice Hargreaves, inspired the children's classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Here's a photo of her.
From The Real Alice in Wonderland gallery over at LIFE:

It's a Mad hatter's Tea Party with the fashion inspired ranges from Alice in Wonderland.
Everyone is joining this Tea Party from Tom Binns, to Stella McCartney, Paul&Joe, Bergdorf Goodman window display, Sephora, La Durée’s macarons, Nicholas Kirkwood and Printemps Haussmann in Paris.Printemps has collaborated with Chloé, Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Martin Margiela, Manish Arora, Ann Demeulemeester.
Katzme adores the Window Displays.
Its the mixture of fashion couture with the fantasy wonderland that we adore so much. Each scene is set with such intricate detail.

Featuring exclusive designer’s dresses inspired by the movie the displays are stunning with beautiful fantasy backgrounds.
Looking at these stunning window displays at Printemps they reminded Katzme of a similar  idea...
Annie Liebovitz's shoot for American Vogue in 2003

Here are some of the images of the Alice in Wonderland fashion mania around the world.

Nicholas Kirkwood Fabouloustic shoes and I'm sure we will be seeing the high street version soon enough !

Even Makeup Paul & Joe have produced a Alice in Wonderland limited edition cosmetic range .

Some really great Jewelery inspired by Alice.

Some more inspired Make up.Here from "Urban Decay"
 Versace shoes and Handbags
Swarovski is even joining the tea party which is debuting their “Underland” spring/ summer 2010 collection .
The collection includes necklaces, earrings, rings and pendants.

Katzme a number of these stunning charms, such as cotton reels and scissors as above picture (ala Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter), hearts and clubs (representing The Red Queen played by Helena Bonham Carter) and bunny and pocket watch (in the style of The White Rabbit) and we think the collection promises to bring sparkly surprises to our Tea Party!!

So why don't you join katzme for a Mad Hatter tea party !

Katzme adores this Alice in Wonderland mania
