BURBERRY FOR COLLETE- AMAZING

From February 22nd – 27th, Colette will be selling the two versions of limited edition Burberry trench

The trench coats were designed by Christopher Bailey  the Yorkshireman who has helped turn Burberry into a luxury status brand.

It was a Transformation for the Burberry’s traditional trench-coat – once worn in World War 1 - into a Burberry Hotty with  puffed-sleeves, a thigh-skimming mini, in sugar-pink satin and shimmering crystals. These coats are more like trench dresses

            Burberry really nailed it this season.Don't get me wrong I really love the classical trench coat but you just can't resist one of these great new hotties.

            Very Chic and a great new re- invention of the look.

The actress, Emma Watson, makes it a family affair in the new Burberry campaign, for spring/summer 2010. The ‘Harry Potter’ star is joined by her younger brother, Alex, 17, in a series of moody images by Mario Testino. 

Rose-beige and lilac, feathered leather coats came with ruched, skintight leggings or silk trousers, rolled up to show pastel socks with strappy cone-heeled platform sandals or high-heeled ‘combat’ boots. 

Silk chiffon and gauze were ‘reef-knotted’ into the briefest of micro-skirts, and paired with cashmere sweaters, criss-crossed with matching straps in the manner of an army rucksack.

Fake Tattoo Hottest New Accessory

Chanel wasn't the only fashion house sporting off the temporary tattoos on their spring 2010 runways.

Rodarte and Jean Paul Gautier also caught on to the trend.

Rodarte showcased tribal and geometric shapes.

 

Jean Paul Gautier featured henna tattoos on his models' necks and arms.

 

 

It was however the sweet and coy designs from Chanel that won

But what all new fake tattoos brought back to my mind was the unforgettable photo shoot that Steven Meisel did !! 

   He shot it for a Vogue Italia Patterns story back in 2007. It was a work of art using patterns and colours fading into the body of the model and the emerging background patterns

          At Chanel's SS10 show in Paris,Karl Lagerfield rubbed fake

Tattoos on Models Wrists.

There are several varieties too: the iconic double C's, chain bracelets,
rosary beads and little birds as well

            In the middle of February, just in time for Valentine's Day, Chanel lovers will be able to purchase the temporary tattoos that premiered on the Spring 2010 Paris runway.

  

Chanel has styled the tattoos with posh Chanel suits, skirts, dresses and entirely feminine outfits.
However, the tattoos could look even better in a casual, street look. 
                      You could exaggerate  both the masculine and feminine elements. 
Imagine maybe a tattoo garter with the iconic double C's hanging with high-waist, vintage-style shorts, a feminine, neutral-toned top and an oversized blazer.
Or imagine the tattoo chain bangles with a heavy print jumpsuit which are all the fashion this season

 

Chanel's Tattoos are the Hottest New Accessory this Spring

This trend has come along at the right time too. Fashion trends for this spring are all about mixing the edgy with the feminine. 

The bad girl quality of tattoos contrasts nicely with the ultra feminine designs of the tattoos. And since they're designed to be worn like jewelry and accessories, they're bound to turn some heads.

                   Since up-dos are going to be on everyone's head in the spring,how cute would  it  be if a little birdie was at the base of the neck under a glorious chignon? 

             The tattoos could also work with the famous Vera Wang braid that is going to be a hit in the spring. 

The braid is parted on one side and the long, loose braid is draped on the other side. It would be amazing if the iconic double C's could appear on the side that the braid isn't draped on to provide an effortlessly sexy, rock and roll look.

These are the first Photographs of Megan Fox-Armani-Ads that have been unveiled and can be seen below.

            In the words of Giorgio Armani himself the young starlet " Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit" He also said " Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans are all about youthful attitude making her the perfect choice for the collections"

Megan replaces Victoria Beckham in the role.

                          The actress,who stars in the "Transformers" films will front Armani's spring/summer campaigns this year with photographs of the 23 year old modeling the designer underwear set to appear on bill boards all over the world.The adverts will appear in fashion magazines next month as well as on the billboards in New York,
Los Angeles,London,Milan,Rome,
Paris and Tokyo

Refreshing Looks from London Fashion Week  SS 2010.

I feel a tireless radiance throughout most of the shows. There was color, shape, textile development, and risk that is exciting. Maybe its the fashion worlds reaction to the economically crisis. Collections looking good on the catwalk was Mark Fast’s blossoming knitwear, Mathew Willaimsons intergalactic shields of armour, Peter Pilotti’s impressionistic prints, Paul Smith’s Tribal remix, Burberry Prorsum’s royal chic, Julien McDonald’s and Josh Goot’s balanced graphics, and House of Holland’s pop culture femme fatale.
